Why do peterson consignment boat stores sell at auction?
As they often do, the petersones consignment shop is packed with the latest, most stylish items from designers, retailers and even fashion houses.
But it is the boat sales that draw the most attention from buyers.
Petersons boats, like the one pictured here in the yard of the company, sell for about $5,000, according to the company.
The boat sells for about 10 times that amount in the parking lot of the shipyard.
The petersone consignment store in Virginia has been operating for about a decade.
The owners say it is a great place to go to find the latest trends and to see the best in craftsmanship.
“It’s like a home.
You can go in and pick up your boat and put it up and go,” said owner Linda Stelzig.
Stelzig said the company was founded in 2007 by three women who worked in construction.
She said the sales department is staffed with a small number of people.
“We’re always looking for new and innovative ideas,” Stelzer said.
She said the business is not necessarily catering to the traditional petersona fan.
She added that there are many other companies that sell items like vintage clothing and art, but she said petersonal consignment boats were more accessible to customers because they were less expensive.
“That makes it a great outlet for the smaller person who wants to save money and not go out and buy a boat for a really big amount of money,” Stolzig said.
The company said it is looking for a buyer for the first two of its three vessels.
It is hoping to open a second shop in Florida in the next year.
