Which footballers will get the honour of getting the most consignment furniture?

By Peter LecceThe Italian Serie A side Milan, who have a total of seven players on the books, are on the verge of taking their first trophy in 18 years, while the Bundesliga side Hannover will be looking to take the title after a third straight win.

But while both sides are on course to make history this season, it is the former that will make history first.

While there are plenty of Italian footballers currently on the planet, the only person who will be making history this weekend is Lazio’s Diego Lugano.

The Argentine has been the main attraction at Lazio this season and will take his fourth trophy with them this season.

Lugano has scored 23 goals this season to bring his tally to 28 goals in his entire career.

The Argentine is currently second in the Italian top flight, with 15 goals, but has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

However, as is the case with most of his team-mates, he is not yet ready to announce his intentions.

“I will be signing with my new club, but I am only thinking about football.

I will talk to my agents and then we will see,” he said.”

I have always said that I want to leave the team and to play for a bigger club.”

Luganese boss Maurizio Sarri also has plenty of options for his goalkeeping options, with Andrea Pirlo, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini also on his books.

As well as Lugano, Sarri is also looking to add to his goalscorers, with the likes of Mario Balotelli, Mario Mandzukic and Mario Gotze all also available for the move.

However, the former AC Milan boss could not stop thinking about the goalkeeping situation at Lazo.

“It is a bit like signing a new club for me,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“There are a few good options but I’m not too sure about any of them.”

Lagardère is already on the transfer radar, and he is expected to be a big-money target for Chelsea in the summer.

With the Italian international’s future uncertain, and the club not yet in a position to make a significant offer, there is a possibility that the player could be tempted away from the Serie A giants.

La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that the 27-year-old is in talks with Chelsea and Liverpool.

According to the paper, the player is willing to spend €15m (€16m in the UK) on Lazio but wants to leave in the winter transfer window.
